In the Latin form, [[astrum parvulus]] means '[[star]] child'.  It represents the pinnacle of a [[human]]'s evolution, and requires a very advanced state of mind to properly maintain.  Each of the currently competing [[cerevate]] races has such a likeness, sometimes referred to as delta-grade beings as it came out of the [[Delta project]].  The [[Renlai]] call theirs the [[xuanhai]], and the [[First]]'s are simply called the [[starborn]].  Those of the [[Shadow]] are sometimes referred to as [[umbra parvulus]] instead.
