Axon analysis is the term for the extremely methodical dissection and electrochemical analysis of the brain, particularly axon connections (their presence and strength, along with the structure of the dendrites they are connected to), thus the term. Via this method, the brain can be reasonably copied and reconstructed elsewhere, or have the mind 'read' for information.

Obviously, while intensely useful, axon analysis is perhaps the most highly regulated activity that humanity partakes of. Abusing this, or performing such analysis against someone else's wishes, often merits a followup analysis on the perpetrator, after which a slow execution is almost certain.
