These [[../Backgrounds|backgrounds]] define a character's position in Creation and elsewhere. Many of them refer to a specific location or group within Creation, and these groups need to be specified.

Sidereals only, maximum of five ranks.

As in Sidereals, though more expansive at high levels.

Allies

This background may be purchased multiple times. Each purchase represents an additional ally.

Backing

This background may be purchased multiple times. Each purchase represents a rank in a different organization.

As per the Core Rules. However, the maximum rating of this Background varies, depending on the power of the organization in question, from anywhere between 2 and 10.

Connections

• This background may be purchased multiple times. Each purchase represents power within a different organization.

For those that can take it, this represents a combined Backing and Influence with a specific organization.

Contacts

Contacts are people a character knows on a friendly basis, but are not outright allies. They are usually important individuals, but always people worth knowing. Unlike Allies, they don't take much maintenance, and ask for no more than they give.
