You want an answer? Very well. Our term for him is closer to your 'Demiurge', but yes, there is a God. And yes, he is quite concerned with your existence, and ours. We are living proof of that.
We're supposed to be dead proof. He came before us, you see. We call ourselves the First, and you accept that, but the conceit is that there is no such thing. One Verse, in its dying throes, leads to a new one, a new species Awakens, and cares for the birth of a new Verse, singing its first notes...
I'm not going to pretend to know the circumstances of the Demiurge's Awakening, if he had to fight his predecessor, or if he merely assassinated him or them. This Verse is certainly much bigger than he is, or else you and I would have both perished before we were born, along with our species, and likely the Universes that host us.
You have Merged, and some of you have Awakened. Those are only the first two of three steps...
When you are ready to Ascend, you will shine like none in this universe has ever shone before. God will see, and come for you.
Your Bible does not lie, at least not there. The question is, will it be for minutes, or will you be the guardians of a new Eternity? This so-called God would rather rule over a dying song then pass the torch and witness the birth of a new. You will not be handed the title freely.
My sister doubts me, plots to steal your power, but as far as I am concerned, we had our chance. The greatest and mightiest among us Ascended - call her Lucifer if you want - and failed, our universe extinguished for our folly.
Most of us have long since reached our potential, and none of us come close to her in power. I have no idea why Eve thinks we have a chance. The differences in our Merging are quite clear, almost as if your presence is a reaction to our failure. Perhaps it is the will of something greater than the Demiurge, this 'true God' that you seek...
But in the end, I only have so many answers, and you would be a fool to trust me blindly.
