Chimera

A chimera is a human-animal hybrid. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes created. In the jurisdiction of the Solar Consortium, chimerae are generally considered to be those who had no choice in their natures, and are therefor according more respect, with the remainder being considered degenerates.

Some, but not all chimerae are able to accept infusions. On Ouranos Prime, this is considered to be the marker for degeneracy - if something cannot accept infusions it is not human according to its jurisdiction.
