Humans use two forms of 'hour', though the most common one is the familiar one - 60 minutes. A thousand hours make up a solar month in the Helios calendar. It is also considered a unit of distance - if something is about an hour away, it refers to a light-hour or 1,079,252,848,800 meters.

The Arean calendar specifies extended seconds, minutes, and hours that are 1.027491251041666... times the length of their counterparts.
