A standard jack is a data plug, consisting of locking, paired modular jacks about the rough size of a 21st century SATA jack, if a bit smaller (about the width of a pinky finger and a quarter the thickness). It can either use fiberoptic cable (typical for permanent or semi-permanent cabling) or wired (for endpoints, typically into a braincase or personal computer).
