Wracked

The wracked are a rare type of infested resulting from the merger of a spectre and a human. They are so called because nearly every moment of their lives is one of intense pain, and they do not take their suffering kindly. Why spectres try to convince humans to join with them is not known.

Wracked are truly pitiable individuals, especially those that survive. They constantly have wounds, bruises, and scars about their bodies, even with accelerated healing, requiring them to consume inordinate amounts of food. In addition to being the rarest, they are also the most irrationally violent, leaving only a few that maintain enough control over themselves to function in civil society.
