A derogatory term which arose during the 21st century regarding the ever-increasing multitudes of increasingly apathetic, sustenance-only populations. They desired to live and die, doing little of note in between. In many ways, they became a sort of self-afflicted second-class citizens - they did not vote, did not seek to better themselves, did not seek to progress.

Nietzsche and others predicted this trend, referring to such people as 'the Last Man' or 'superfluous man'. Over time, their voluntary relegation as 'less than people' became codified, and with the Anti-Homogenization Act, official.

Many of them were left on Earth for the Diaspora, though some where 'harvested' by various curious parties among the Concord and Triad. If Eve bothered with them, she has not said as much.
