Corrupted

The corrupted are the most common of the infested, resulting from the union of shades and a human. Although they possess many advanced mental faculties, they seem to have trouble using them in as fluid a manner as their hosts once did.

Corrupted have a chill aura about them as they draw in the surrounding heat, often seeming freezing to the touch. Their eyes tend to glow red or green, and frequently put off either a faint red glow or a low, moaning groan. They are known for their almost nonsensical greed, and their limited foresight, making them the subjects of a great deal of trickery.
