There are many different types of gnostic faiths, and in Solar Storms, the past two centuries have seen a resurgance of their belief systems. The advent of the mobius patterns drastically accelerated this, and already they represent a larger segment of Christianity than any other traditional sect in the religion. Many do not consider them to be among christians, however.

At the core of the gnostic revival is that the Universe as we see it is not the entire story. Unlike previous thought, the majority of the current movements simply claim that the Universe is not necessarily a false one, but simply that there are other layers to our current existence.
