Android

A form of artificial sapience granted life in a humanoid body. Typically, they were originally one sapient AI or another - a droid or expert system - that eventually expressed the desire to 'become human', although some androids are constructed from scratch.

They typically possess full rights, and are in many ways difficult to distinguish from a beta strain, though they often have inferior mental capabilities due to a more rugged backup system. Some of them are known to be able to use infusions, which quells most serious antagonism about their rights in society. Androids typically serve their creators out of their own free will, though a few have left for the Procyon Concord.
