Tachyon cannon

Perhaps the most powerful weapon available to humankind, the tachyon cannon is a satmet that causes a specific tachyon interference along a line of effect. Namely, the inversion of charge, causing a significant quantity of matter in a localized region of space to become antimatter.

The mobius patterns are defense against this effect, but no purely technological defense is known, though damage can be mitigated with exotics. The dyrajt carriers were able to offer a partial resistance, and were clearly constructed with these weapons in mind. Either the satmets under humanity's control vastly outpower those the tlorai were capable of constructing, or it was seen as merely a good precaution. The only real difference was that the carriers were only 50-60% destroyed, as opposed to the 80-90% destruction that ships underwent during the Jovian Massacre.
