One of the Solarian Battles, it was a massive conflict that took place in Saturn's ring system. The Battle of Ouranos Prime took place almost simultaneously, and marked the end of the cold war between the rogue power and the Consortium. Although preparations on both sides were a decade in the making, the majority of the conflict was over in about an hour. Unlike the other battle, there was no extended conflict - both forces stood down once the outcome at Ouranos Prime was clear.

This battle created the skearn Hemera, coterminous with the ring system of the planet.
